Career Opportunity: HR Development Manager (Ortigas)

Our client manufactures and markets generic pharmaceutical and biotechnology products in many parts of the world. They also markets researched based pharmaceutical products from major international companies. They also contract manufactures for leading R&D based multinational pharmaceutical companies.

Responsibilities:

  • Will be responsible for the overall HD administration for the Pharma Company in the Philippines which includes: Recruitment, Compensation and Benefits Management, Employee development/Training, Organizational development, and employee relations in close coordination with country head and international business counterparts from Headquarters.
  • Designs and implements human resources training and development programs, services, strategies, and initiatives that are responsive to the needs of the department and integrated with overall Company’s training and development policy which address the company’s mission, values and guiding principals.
  • Conceptualize and identify Corporate, Functional and Individual competencies through development of Company Competency Model. Facilitate and conduct the training programs within the framework of identified Company Competency Model.
  • Responsible for In-House communication and publication on regular intervals. Monitor and suggest town-hall meeting.
  • Performs training needs analyses, as appropriate, and initiates, develops, and/or coordinates the implementation of specific training and development programs for employees; conducts new employee orientation and associated activities.
  • Develops, designs, and presents in-service and general training concerning general and specific training and development policies, procedures, and documentation through employee performance management document and individual competency evaluation.
  • Work with all division and department of company to review individuals’ training need analysis, recommend specific training, post training evaluation, feedback to supervisor and document all the process in the employees’ personal file. Ensure that these information will be used during performance appraisal exercise of individual quarterly, bi-annually and / or annually.
  • Develop and maintain and update concurrent organization charts of each section, department and divisional and ensure that all filled, open, non-permanent positions are in line with budget and current year plan.
  • Manage company’s initiative on Employee Engagement, Career Dialogues, Job descriptions, Performance management index of all management staff.
  • Serves as initial point of advice, problem resolution, and facilitation in the areas of employee relations, performance management, and employee discipline; advises both employees and management regarding employee relations policies, procedures, and documentation; researches, identifies, and analyzes specific employee relations concerns and makes appropriate recommendations.
  • Supervise employee payroll activities including management of Human Resources Information System [HRIS]. Develop and issue effective management reports inline with the concurrent requirement of management for effective decision-making. Coordinate with Finance for smooth execution of monthly payroll of all employees.
  • Streamline the hiring process by way of developing effective “employee hiring procedure” and ensure its proper implementation within the company. This includes development of questionnaire; prepare position profile, interviews, placement and its related requirements.
    Design and implement all aspects of staff compensation policies, guidelines, and procedures; works with departmental heads to resolve compensation issues within policy parameters. This includes its related activities i.e. preparation of job descriptions, job evaluations with the help of outside consultants.
  • Financial Responsibilities: Ensures that all expense related to his/her own area are within budget and recommend effective use of money for self and staff. Explore ways and means for cost effective process and productive management.
  • Ensures / safeguards of all Company’s assets in possession.

Requirements:

  • Education: Must be a Masters Degree holder in Business Administration / Human Resources / General Management or other related fields from a recognized and well reputed business school.
  • Experience: Total of 8 - 10 years of experience, of which 3 to 4 years as manager, with a reputable large manufacturing organization specifically and necessarily in the following areas:
  • Training and development: 4-5 years
  • Recruitment, Compensation & Benefits: 2-3 years
  • Performance Management: 3-4 years
  • Organization Development / Change Management: 2-3 years
  • Should be proficient in MS Office particularly in Word, Excel. Working knowledge of PowerPoint and SAP [HR module] will be an added advantage.
  • Must be able to sell his/her point of view in large group convincingly.
  • Result oriented individual who could effectively lead and organize and facilitate team activities and functions.
  • Must have passion in the work he / she is doing and is committed to growth.
  • Must have a high personal and financial integrity; willing to stretch himself / herself to achieve high performance.
  • Must have excellent communication skills both oral and written.
  • Persuasive in nature and an excellent team player.
  • PHARMA Industry background is required.
  • Not over 40 years old.
