Financial Systems Analyst Job Opportunity (Makati)

CLIENT PROFILE: Our Client is a leading transporter of crude oil and petroleum products with the world's largest and most modern fleet of midsized oil tankers.

Requirements:

• Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's/College Degree in Finance/Accountancy or equivalent.
• Must have at least 3 years of Professional accounting designation or having equivalent experience or accounting knowledge.
• Financial systems setup, implementation, and roll-out experience (minimum 2-3 years)
• Exposure to business processes, business practices and controls.
• Knowledge of business financial reporting requirements and general business operations.
• Knowledge of integrated software package functionality.
• Exposure to internal controls and policies.
• Willingness to travel abroad (approximately 15%)
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
• Ability to work independently and as a team member.
• Good organizational and time management skills.
• Exposure to J.D. Edwards ERP or similar preferred but not required.
• Exposure to US GAAP and SEC reporting requirements.
• Shipping industry experience preferred but not required.
• Must be willing to work in Makati.
• Full-Time positions available.
• Applicants should be Filipino citizens or hold relevant residence status.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the financial systems needs and supporting end users in the Asia Pacific regional offices
• Document, identify, and implement business process changes and improvements.
• Implement recommendations from Internal Audit reviews that primarily involve financial process re-engineering and/or improvements.
• Initiate, review, and implement improvements and best practices for financial processes.
• Coordinate and resolve accounting and process issues.
• Oversee ongoing user support and training for financial systems in the region.
• Participate in the planning and testing of software upgrades.
• Design, implement, and maintain interfaces between financial and operating systems to automate workflows.
• Optimize the use of available functionality within existing financial systems and explore new technology.
• Participate in projects and financial analysis as required by management.
