Position Purpose:
The selected candidate will be a key hands-on contributor to developing, maintaining and extending functional and automated test scenarios for web and client/server based products.
This Senior SQA Lead is also responsible for documenting the testing processes and procedures, training and managing QA team members, execute tests and interpret the results, and to help prepare the collective test automation skill set within the team.
The ideal candidate must also be able to demonstrate flexibility in managing testing efforts as project priorities warrant.
Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
•Must have 4 years and up experience in QA testing and leading a team as well
•Software Development Lifecycle experience (Agile/Scrum preferred, Waterfall, MS SDD)
•Ability to design and create Automatic and Load Test scripts (HP Quick Test Professional emphasis a plus)
•Microsoft Operating Systems and Office Suite experience
•Proficient knowledge of testing web applications with emphasis on MS Internet Explorer, Java and .Net Platform
•Experience with SQL and MS SQL Server
•Test Case Management experience (creation, execution, and managing test cases with or without business requirements/design docs)
•Defect Management experience (submitting and managing defects to completion)
•Review of business requirements, design documentation, and defect submissions for completeness and testability
•Ability to shape risk based testing approaches/plans
•Ability to write and analyze test reports across a broad audience
•Exceptional communication skills (both verbal & written)
•Strong analytical skills
•Development Language experience preferred (VB, Java, HTML)
•Ability to mentor and train others, both informally at peer-level and formally through occasional presentations).
•Strong Team Leadership with “Do what it takes” attitude. Flexibility and multi-task if needed. Willing to contribute to manual test efforts when needed.
